COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to network routing and router configuration. Includes routing protocols, Cisco IOS commands and operation, and network design using routers. Second of four courses to prepare students to pass the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification examination. Prerequisite: CNT140. Two lecture. Three lab.

1. Routing and packet forwarding
2. Static routing
3. Dynamic routing protocols
4. Distance vector routing protocols
5. Routing Information Protocol (RIP) version 1
6. Variable Length Subnet Masks (VLSM) and Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR)
7. RIP version 2
8. The routing table
9. Enhance Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
10. Link-state routing protocols
11. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
